Ven. Doshine

About the Instructor

Ven. Doshine began his journey as a Buddhist monk at Hae In Sa Temple in South Korea in the year 2000. After years of intensive training and education at various monasteries, he received full Bhikkhu ordination from the Jogye Order of Korean Buddhism in 2006.

  • 2010

    In 2010, Ven. Doshine relocated to the United States and pursued academic studies at Hunter College in New York, where he earned a Bachelor’s degree in Comparative Religious Studies in 2014.

  • 2016

    Furthering his academic pursuits, Ven. Doshine completed a Master’s program in Buddhist Studies at Harvard Divinity School in 2016. Since then, he has served as an abbot at Jung Myung Sa Buddhist Temple.
